HGC responds to NHS Connecting for Health consultation on additional uses of patient data

At its plenary meeting in Cardiff in December 2008, the Commission discussed its response to the NHS Connecting for Health consultation on additional uses of patient data. The discussion can be listened to here (by clicking on the link for Connecting for Health).
In addition to responding to the more detailed proposals in the consultation, the Commission stresses the importance of controls on access to patient information set within a a robust and effective patient information governance framework. The Commission's full and final response can be read here.
