HGC Commissioner presents at the Nordic Committee on Bioethics conference

HGC Commissioner Dr Frances Flinter will present the work of the HGC on direct genetic tests at a conference in Denmark organised by the Nordic Committee on Bioethics. Her presentation will cover the two HGC reports Genes Direct and More Genes Direct and the development of the common framework of principles for direct genetic tests which the HGC is leading. The conference which is being held on the 14 and 15 of January 2009 will discuss the issues surrounding the sale of genetic tests. Attendees at the conferece will discuss whether regulatory controls are needed in this area.
