HFEA Observer
The Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority (HFEA) sends a member of the Authority as an observer to HGC plenary meetings. The observer is currently Dr Sue Price. Informtion about HFEA members is available on the HFEA website (www.hfea.gov.uk).
In exchange, the HGC sends an observer to meetings of the Authority. The HGC observer is currently Mrs Ros Gardner.
This reciprocal arrangement provides a key point of contact between the two bodies to ensure that each is fully aware of the other's activities, to foster complementary working and to avoid the risk of duplication.
